About
The Old Town metal roofing crew.
Built for HARC review and a direct hurricane hit, honest about what your roof actually needs, and at home on a Conch cottage or a B&B.
Roofing shaped by history and the storm
You can't roof in Key West the way you roof on the mainland. Out here a roof lives in salt air, sits under unfiltered island sun, and has to stand up to direct hurricane hits at the southernmost point of the country. In Old Town it also answers to the Historic Architecture Review Commission. We build for all of that — the classic 5V-crimp tin roof and standing-seam metal, matched to the historic profile where it counts and engineered to Monroe County wind code.
Made for this island
We work Key West and the Lower Keys — Old Town, Bahama Village, Truman Annex, New Town, Casa Marina, and out through Stock Island, Big Coppitt, Sugarloaf, Cudjoe, and Big Pine Key. That means Conch cottages and Victorian gingerbread homes, historic landmarks under HARC review, the B&Bs and vacation rentals the city is known for, and newer homes down the highway. We've roofed all of it, and we know how the historic district and the salt line change the job.
What we do
Metal roof installation, replacement, and repair. The iconic 5V-crimp Galvalume tin roof and concealed-fastener standing seam. Historic district roofing matched for HARC. Post-storm inspection and repair. All built to the Monroe County wind code with the product-approval documentation the county requires.
How we work
We answer the phone. We show up for the free inspection. We tell you the truth — a repair if a repair will do, a replacement only when it's genuinely time. We write everything down in a line-item estimate, handle HARC and the Monroe County permits, and hand you photos and paperwork at the end. No scare tactics, no vague lump sums, no surprises — even if you're an absentee owner off the island.
